Been a while since my last post here, still getting used to this whole blogging thing. Well it is the start of another NFL season, and the Bears don't look too bad after their first two games. We will all have to wait and see if this trend continues or do they fold up like a card table, I personally think they will have a pretty good season, maybe not Superbowl bound but I think maybe the playoffs? They seem to like to play for this new coach, and that is always a big hurdle.
Now on to the more important things FOOD!! We have been running two specials for the past two weeks, featuring local tomatoes and local heirloom tomatoes. We have a deep dish pizza Margherita featuring Yakima heirloom tomatoes, fresh garlic, and micro basil. Our second special is a local tomato salad with fresh mozzarella, house made lemon vinaigrette and micro basil. These will run till the tomatoes run out!!
Like the title says we have some new menu items that we have added to the standard menu. We have added a white pie,w/ our creamy garlic dressing, spinach, onion, mushroom, Pecorino Romano cheese. There are two new hot dogs; the Ballard, w/ cream cheese, whole grain mustard, saute`ed peppers & onions and the South Sider which is topped with yellow mustard and our housemade creamy coleslaw. The Blackhawk is our new cold sandwich, dry salami, spicy Capacola, Sopprasata, provolone cheese, mixed greens, tomato, and red onion, w/ our housemade balsamic dressing. We also added two new salads; the Greek and Salumi salad.
Go Bears, Bulls, Blackhawks and White Sox (well maybe next year)!!!!!
